Half-Day Cruises – Depart the dock at approximately 10 am or 4 pm for a four-hour cruise on the upper Hudson River.  A sample itinerary would be to sail under the Rip Van Winkle Bridge then cruise past  scenic Athens, NY.  We'll stop at our special anchorage with a gorgeous view of the Catskill Mountains for a scrumptious lunch or dinner selected from our gourmet menu.

Sailor's Special – 3 to 4 hour sail either north or south from Catskill dependent on the winds.  Learn how to raise and trim the sails for current weather conditions or sit back and enjoy the ride as we sail the Hudson like the olden days.

NEW!  Full Day, Lighthouse Charter!

Lighthouse Lovers Special - Spend a full-day on the water sailing the upper Hudson River and visiting three, unique lighthouses.  Don't forget to bring your camera so you can take advantage of these great views from the water.  We'll discuss the history of each lighthouse as we visit Kingston, Saugerties and Athens while sailing calm waters.  This charter includes both a gourmet lunch AND dinner on the water.

Custom Charters – Full-day or multi-day charters are available on request.  Enjoy a longer trip up or down the Hudson River to take in the beautiful scenery and historic sites.  This charter is all-inclusive - meals, drinks and boat expenses are included for both guests.  There are no additional costs unless you would like to visit specific places that have an entry fee.  Call now and we'll help to custom design your charter.

Multi-day custom charters are limited to a single couple.  Second Wind is a two cabin boat with one at each end of the vessel (forward and aft-cabin layout).  The crew will be sleeping in the bow while our guests enjoy their own private aft-cabin with queen-sized bed, private head and private stand-up shower. 

Prices

½ Day Luncheon Sail from $250 – Basic rate includes the full cruise and gourmet lunch for two people.  Add $50 for each additional couple.  Maximum six guests.

½ Day Dinner Cruise from $350 – Sail the Hudson River as the sun sets over the majestic Catskill Mountains.  We’ll “wine and dine” you in the comfort of our large, cushioned cockpit.  Basic rate is for one couple (2 people).  Add $100 for each additional couple.  Maximum six guests.

Sailor's Special is $300 for up to six guests.  Organize a day on the water with your friends and enjoy a custom sail at a low per-guest price.

Full-Day Lighthouse Charter from $500 - This charter is 6 to 8 hours and includes both a gourmet lunch and dinner of your choice.  We'll serve your favorite cocktails and assorted hors d'oeuvres during the cruise.  Add $150 for each additional couple.

Multi-Day Custom Charters - We would love to customize a multi-day charter for you.  As these yacht vacations are usually different for each guest, the price varies depending on type and length of trip.  We can provide some great options based on our extensive experience in these beautiful cruising areas.  Please call us for a free trip plan and quote.  These are all-inclusive charters - gourmet meals, snacks, boat drinks and all boat expenses are included.

Payment and Cancellation Policies

Day Charters - When you book a charter we require a reservation fee equal to one-half of the charter total before reserving the date.  The remainder of the charter fee must be paid before the charter begins.  We need to prepare the boat and purchase supplies specific to each charter so we have a big investment before we leave the dock.  For that reason, we require a two week notice of cancellation for a refund.  If you cancel within two weeks of the charter date, the reservation fee is forfeit.

Our goal is to have every guest fully enjoy our charter but we know that sometimes the weather will not always cooperate.  For that reason the Captain reserves the right to cancel the charter up to 24 hours before leaving.  If we need to cancel due to bad weather or some other unforeseen circumstance, we will make every effort to rebook your group as soon as possible.  If we need to cancel and cannot agree on a new date that makes you happy, we will refund all fees that have been paid.

Multi-day Charters - We provide a complete Yacht Charter Agreement for all charters longer than one day.  This agreement is standard in the charter industry.  Please call for a sample or if you have any questions.
