When you book a charter we require a reservation fee of one-half the charter total before reserving the date. (Most of our guests pay the entire fee up front so they don't have to bother paying again in a few days or weeks.) The remainder of the charter fee must be paid before the charter begins. We need to prepare the boat and purchase supplies specific to each charter so we have a big investment before we leave the dock. For that reason, we require a two week notice of cancellation for a refund. If you cancel within two weeks of the charter date, the reservation fee is forfeit.
Our goal is to have every guest fully enjoy our charter but we know that sometimes the weather will not always cooperate. Bad weather can be uncomfortable for sailing and sometimes dangerous for the boat and passengers. For that reason the Captain reserves the right to cancel the charter up to 24 hours before leaving. If we need to cancel due to bad weather or some other unforeseen circumstance, we will make every effort to rebook your group as soon as possible. If we need to cancel and cannot agree on a new date that makes you happy, we will refund all fees that have been paid.
Multi-day Charters
We provide an industry standard Yacht Charter Agreement for all charters longer than one day. A sailing vacation on a crewed yacht is a large investment of your money and valuable time. This agreement provides you guarantees on our crew, boat and facilities along with details of any clothing or gear you might want to bring.
